Daniel Kibblesmith was born in Oak Park, Illinois on Houby Day (no, really, it's a real thing). A filmmaker at an early age, his earliest projects were stop-motion animation experiments shot on a VHS camcorder, eventually graduating to human actors. This crippling addiction to graduating led him through the film program at Columbia College of Chicago and their Los Angeles satellite program, followed by training in improv and comedic writing at The Second City. Now working as a professional humor writer (no, really, it's a real thing), in his free time, he likes to draw comic strips and occasionally perform stand-up at many of the generous open mic's around town that love to watch him collapse under the weight of his own anxiety like a sweaty house of cards. A reluctant performer, more comfortable behind the camera, his interests include personal boundaries, an inflated sense of justice and learning the ukulele. And yes, he owns a turtle.
